Every submission is downloaded and listened to. The guidelines below exist so that yours arrives in a state where that is possible.

What the email must contain

• Subject line — indicate whether it is a DEMO or a PROMO.
• Artist name — your stage name.
• Real name — your legal name, for official records.
• Email address — so we can reach you.

DEMO is exclusively for unreleased music with no label home and no planned release date at the time of submission. PROMO is everything else.

SoundCloud links

Enable downloads. Streaming-only links do not help: all music is downloaded so it can be listened to on the move, usually without an internet connection.

File format

Name the files with artist and title, and fill in the ID3 metadata tags. AIFF is preferred over WAV, which does not keep metadata outside the program used to write it.

Etiquette

Send each track once. Every submission is downloaded for review, so there is no reason to send anything twice.
